Bringing Back the Bulbourne – Phase 2.
The eagle eyed among you may have already seen the new temporary display panels that have been erected on both Harding’s and Station Moor. These panels go in to some detail about the future of the Bulbourne project, specifically the creation of ephemeral ponds (also known as ‘Scrapes’), which are great for wildlife such as wading birds. This phase of the project will be starting in the week starting 6th November and is due to take no more than a couple of weeks. The diagram below shows the location of the scrapes.
The Box Moor Trust, featuring representation from the Environment Agency will running a ‘Moors management walk’ on Saturday 2nd September, at 10am. The walk will go into detail about not only the Bulbourne restoration projection, but also management of the Trust estate as a whole. The walk will start on Harding’s Moor – we look forward to seeing you there!
