Summer Holiday Activities at The Old Barn
The school summer holidays are fast approaching and we have a number of events at the Old Barn for all the family. Here’s a snap shot of our August activities:
Powerful Plants ~ Thursday 2nd August 10:30am – 12:30pm
Come and learn about tree folklore, how to make herb potions and identify trees on a trail. We’ll also have bark rubbing, planting activities and storytelling. This is a free drop in session, (no need to book), activities are suitable for children from 2 years.
Animal Tracking ~ Thursday 9th August 10:30am – 12:30pm
Join us on a trail to track animals in the area. We’ll look for prints and match them to animals, and we’ll dissect owl pellets by identifying the bones and skeletons found in them, this will tell us what they’ve been eating! Our moth trap will have already been set up so we’ll see what moths have been caught. This is a free drop in session, (no need to book), activities are suitable for children from 7 years.
Family Volunteering Day ~ Saturday 11th August
