Saturday 9th July 12 noon - 10.30pm, Sunday 10th July 12 noon - 7pm Bulbourne Moor, Two Waters
Now an established event on Hemel Hempstead's calendar, our sixth Music on the Moor will once again take place on Bulbourne Moor, near the traffic lights at Two Waters. This year the emphasis will be on providing an event to be enjoyed by families. On the Saturday, there will be rock and pop music and on the Sunday, jazz, blues, easy listening and classical. Once again, we have had a tremendous response from local bands and musicians wanting to perform and have put together a fantastic line-up for your enjoyment. The full running order is available to download below - just click on the link.
The popular 'Ecology Village' will once again be a feature and there will be an exciting programme of workshops covering a range of different music for you to join in with. This year, in order to make sure that everyone enjoys the event, which is primarily family-oriented, we will not be permitting alcohol to be brought onto the site on the Saturday, although alcoholic drinks will be available at the bars on the site which are subject to normal licensing conditions. For further information on the reasons behind this decision, please see the attachment below. There will be a selection of food outlets, catering for a variety of tastes. So please join us for this free event which we have organised for the whole community to enjoy.

Music Workshops at Music on the Moor
Have you ever wanted to sing in public? Maybe you'd like to play jazz? Are you a samba enthusiast? Or is the ukulele your instrument of choice? An exciting series of music workshops has been organised at Music on the Moor on Sunday 10th July, aimed at getting local people involved in performing. The Truck Stage will be the focus of this aspect of the event and members of the public are invited to join in for free with a variety of performance-based activities.
The Jazz Workshop is an informal co-operative venture, run by musicians for musicians, with the aim of introducing new musicians to playing jazz and providing opportunities for existing jazz musicians to play together. They will be performing on stage and subsequently running a series of workshops on guitar, reeds and kit. On stage 12.35-3.10pm, workshops between 2 and 2.30pm.
The 'Family Sing' is a community choir workshop that all members of the family, young and old, can get involved in. Working with a voice teacher, you will first learn and rehearse the material and then perform it live on stage. Time: 2.20-3.10pm.
Other workshops will be run by popular local samba band 'Sambuka' (on stage between 3.20-4.05pm) and Berkhamsted Ukulele Random Players (4.20-4.50pm) - remember to bring your ukulele with you!
For further information on any of these free workshops, ring the Box Moor Trust on 01442 253300. Just come along and join in on the day!
