A Simple Guide to...
Ever fancied trying your hand at a new craft or skill? Here is your chance. The Box Moor Trust is organising a series of workshops on a wide variety of topics relating to the land.
Each session is on a Saturday, times from 10am until 4pm unless otherwise stated. Numbers are strictly limited, so it is advisable to book early. In order to cover costs we ask for £30 per workshop, with a further nominal charge being made for materials where you will be taking away a finished item.
These sessions are taster sessions only. Your tutor can let you know about further opportunities to take the topic further.
| 26th May - Weaving - join Maggie Stearn, a local weaver, to learn about setting up and using a heddle loom. There is a charge of £7 for the woven item. |
| 30th June - Driving horses - Join George Tite for a chance to learn the basics of long reining. |
| 28th July - Pottery - run by the Dacorum and Chiltern Potters Guild - a chance to work with clay and use our on-site kiln. There is a charge of £5 for the finished item. |
