Tree felling along Box Lane.

The row of trees next to Box Lane were original planted as a hedge by the old golf course owners to hopefully stop golf balls going into the road. Since the golf course has not been in use, the hedge / row of trees haven’t been cut, and has grown into small trees. Unfortunately Ash dieback has affected some of them; as such if left un-managed they will become a potential hazard to the road in the future. Our intention is to cut all the trees over a 2-3 year period and plant up with new hedging type species, i.e. dog rose, hawthorn etc; future management will then be to manage it all as a traditional hedge.
