Red Kite rescue!

Whilst some of our conservation volunteers were sowing Vetch seed at Upper Roughdown Common yesterday, they noticed a Red Kite that could not fly. They contacted Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital and their volunteer David Evans, with the assistance of Trust volunteer Nibbsy, caught it and it is now being cared for at their animal hospital. Great work guys!

This excellent little wildlife hospital has come to our aid on several occasions in the past, when sick or injured animals and birds have been rescued on Trust land. For more information on St Tiggywinkles, please visit their website.
