In-School Visits

The Box Moor Trust can also visit schools in our Area of Benefit during the autumn and spring terms to present our free interactive assemblies.  These are suitable for Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Our assemblies include:

All About the Box Moor Trust: the Trust’s land, animals and wildlife, and how children can get involved.

The Water Cycle: from a rain cloud, through Hemel Hempstead’s rivers to the sea and back again.

All About Adaptations: animals and the physical and behavioural tricks that help them to survive.

The History of Hemel Hempstead: Romans, Normans, Tudors, Victorians, WWII, the New Town and more.

Life Cycles: newts, dandelions, butterflies, owls and sheep, from small beginnings to maturity.

Tree-Mendous Trees: learn all about trees, how they help humans and why they are so important to the Box Moor Trust.

All with maximum audience participation and dressing up!

Please contact us if you would like to book a visit to your school, to discuss your requirements and to check for available dates.
