The Box Moor Trust Governance

The Box Moor Trust is governed by a board of up to 12 Trustees. Any person over the age of 18 and living in the Area of Benefit is eligible to stand at a Trustee election, which are typically held every 5 years. The Trustees provide the direction and strategy for the Trust and work to ensure that the land is managed and preserved for the local population. All Trustees are volunteers and do not receive financial compensation for their time.

Trustees meet in a variety of different committee meetings, which are typically held every two months.  These include: Board, Estates, Finance, HR, Environmental Awareness and Events, Profile and Arts. In addition, there are at any one time a number of temporary Task and Finish Groups and Working Parties.
