Toby Chambers-Briggs

I am a Boxmoor local with over a decade of professional experience within financial services and relationship management, hoping to support the Trust where possible with my commercial approach and skills.
Having grown up on a smallholding with numerous animals, I understand the importance of appropriate land and livestock management, to ensure the highest welfare of animals (wild and domestic) and to keep land maintained, fit for purpose and provide the public with spaces to enjoy.
As a new father, I want to keep areas managed by the Trust used to their full potential to benefit current and future generations.
Manifesto
As a relationship manager within the financial services, I believe I can benefit the Trust from a commercial perspective including contract and vendor management, reviewing financials and negotiating with external parties where required.
I grew up managing animals on a smallholding, including sheep and horses, and so I understand the needs of efficient land management. While others at the Trust are more experienced and qualified managing the land that the Trust looks after, I will always offer my experience and practical skills should an extra pair of hands be required or a sheep need removing from a hedge!
Having seen the events put on around Boxmoor by the Trust, I am very keen to participate in the management of such events, to ensure their successful running and positive growth year after year, and expand where possible.
I am a keen sportsman having played a huge variety of sport my entire life, and I enjoy watching cricket and rugby locally across the Boxmoor land. I want to ensure access for sport where possible for community benefit and allow children of all ages to be able to exercise and play sport, which I believe is fundamental to a happy and healthy lifestyle.
I love living in Boxmoor, and the Trust is part of what makes it so special. The protection and management of the land and surrounding areas is vital to keeping Boxmoor such a great place to live, and I want to positively impact my community by supporting the Trust.
